Crochet openwork napkin in the shape of a heart. Crochet an openwork heart

Good afternoon, dear needlewomen and all blog readers!

On the Internet I came across such a wonderful crochet napkin, the heart in which is beautiful in itself, and a napkin made of two hearts next to each other, facing each other - a great idea for the interior and a gift for lovers, newlyweds and all happy families.

The picture and diagram I found is from Herz and Herz magazine without a description of the work.

Let's try to figure it out ourselves. Moreover, we already knitted one of these hearts for Valentine’s Day.

For such a napkin, cotton threads such as Iris, Snowflake and others are better suited. We select the hook according to the thickness of the thread, you can take No. 1-1.2. I try not to recommend a specific number, because everyone has a different knitting density.

Knitting napkins with hearts consists of three stages.

Stage I. First heart

Knitting a heart starts from the middle of the round part. I have already published a detailed master class on knitting such a heart, you can see it. There is also a larger pattern. So, I’m skipping the description of the first stage.

Stage II. Second heart

For our crocheted napkin, the second heart is crocheted similarly to the first.

When knitting the last row of the second heart, we connect it to the first in three places in each of the two round parts of the hearts ( see diagram).

To do this, we knit 1VP, 1SC, inserting the hook into the first heart, 1VP, then continue knitting the second heart to the next joining point.

Stage III. We tie the hearts

We combine two hearts into a napkin; to do this, we tie them in 9 rows according to the diagram, at the same time additionally connecting them to each other.

I only number the rows of the binding; I do not count the rows of knitted hearts.

1st row: attach the thread to the second picot from the corner of one of the crocheted hearts.

3VP for lifting, 4VP, 1С1Н in the same picot, *3VP, skip 1 picot, 1С1Н in the second picot of the heart, 4VP, 1С1Н*.

We repeat knitting between * 8 times (until the most convex round part of the heart). At this point we knit 3VP, 1C4H in the 4th picot of the heart, 3VP, 1C2H in the 2nd picot of the heart. You will get the following crossed columns. I understood from the diagram that these are stitches with 4 and 2 crochets. But look at the knitting process, maybe you will need to make more yarn overs.

Next, we knit 3VP and proceed to tying the second heart in a mirror image in relation to the tying of the first: i.e. 1S2N, 3 VP, 1S4N. Here the difficulty will be in choosing the first picot to insert the hook; it should be strictly opposite the similar picot of the first heart.

We connected two hearts on one side in this way, continue knitting to the corner according to the pattern ( description between *).

In the corner of the heart under the arch of air loops we knit: 1С1Н, 4ВП, 1С1Н, 4ВП, 1С1Н.

In this way we tied one side of two hearts and one corner of one heart.

We continue knitting on the other side in the same way: according to the description between *, crossed stitches in the convex places of the hearts, again knitting between *, corner of the heart.

At the end of the row 3VP, we connect them with a half-column (connecting loop) to the beginning of the row.

3rd row: 3VP for lifting, 4VP, 1S1N under an arch of 2 air loops between the posts of the 2nd row, *3VP, 1S1N, 4VP, 1S1N*.

Please note that in two opposite sides of the napkin above the corners of the hearts you need to knit not 3, but 1 VP between the columns.

4th and 6th rows: like 2nd.

5th row: like 3rd.

7th row: like the 3rd, but it has a slightly different number of air loops between the columns.

On the long sides: 4VP, 1S1N, 3VP, 1S1N.

On the narrow sides of the napkin: 1VP, 1S1N, 3VP, 1S1N.

8th row similar to the 3rd, but we knit two double crochets: 3VP, 2S1N, 3VP, 2S1N.

9th row: 2 unfinished double crochets, knitted together, picot, 2C1H, picot, 2C1H, picot, 2 unfinished double crochets, knitted together.

Good afternoon - today I have prepared an article on how to create your own KNITTED HEARTS - or crochet valentines. In this article I have collected a piggy bank of ideas about what gifts you can knit for Valentine's Day. And also you will see schemes and patterns crochet heart That is, today we will knit a variety of hearts - both small and large - in different knitting techniques (circular, square, asymmetrical, loin).

Let me tell you what exactly you will find in this article...

  1. I will show craft options, which use knitted hearts.
  2. I will teach you how to knit THE SIMPLEST flat heart from thick threads.
  3. I'll show you how to DECORATE a simple knitted heart for an elegant Valentine's card.

  7. You will also learn how to tie CARPET in the shape of a heart.
  8. And how to make a knitted one a box of chocolates in the form of a valentine.

There will be a lot of interesting things.

GIFTS options for Valentine's Day,

which you can knit with your own hands.

You can knit a SILHOUETTE of a heart with a special knitting technique... that is, we knit a regular fabric (pillows or potholders) ... and then in the place specified by the pattern we knit the cone columns. You can do this with plain threads (as in the photo of the blue pillow), or you can choose different colors of thread to highlight the heart (as in the photo of the lilac-yellow pot holder below). The pattern and principle of knitting a pattern in cones can be found on the Internet.

Here's an idea crafts cards for Valentine's Day– that is, a red knitted heart can decorate a white card. And a white crocheted heart will stand out brightly on a red Valentine’s card.

You can also knit from knitted hearts hair decoration for little girls. For example, an elastic band with a heart on the side. Or you can crochet heart crown(as in the middle photo). You can also use a simple knitted heart decorate a regular hair tie. Below I will give many heart patterns that are suitable for this purpose.

You can also knit from hearts souvenir painting as a gift new residents, or friends in love. The color of the hearts can be matched to the color of the room’s interior... For example, if the furniture and textiles of the room are lilac with yellow and eggplant, then the hearts in the frame should repeat this color scheme.

Also, a flat heart knitted with thin threads can become an elegant decor for sewn heart pillows. This heart can be knitted as a decorative element for wedding decoration.

Well, now let's start knitting a FLAT HEART... come on, let's learn...

How to knit a small flat heart.

CIRCLE + BINDING technique.

The simplest heart (2 rows) is best knitted from thick threads. The pattern of such a heart is simple - it only has 2 circular rows... First, we knit a regular chain of 4 chain stitches. Then we knit single crochets in a circle (you get a flat circle). And we will already have a second row give the heart the desired shape(sharp tip at the bottom + indentation at the top). The recess in the upper part of the heart is formed by crocheting single crochets in this place. The pointed tip at the bottom is achieved thanks to 2 air loops.

Such small crocheted hearts can be connected in PAIRS along the edges... and filled with cotton wool. Let's get a chubby Valentine's heart.

You can also decorate our small flat hearts regular EMBROIDERY from knitting threads(stretching them with a regular crochet, that is, embroidering flowers without a needle). Or you can decorate knitted valentines separately tied flower, or cut out a piece of fleece.

You can also add some elegance to your crochet heart if each knitting row made from threads of different colors.

You can hang the heart on the window as a decorative pendant and decorate it with crystal beads.

HOW TO DECORATE a heart with a knitted flower.

You can decorate the core of such a flat heart with a knitted flower.
First voluminous flower It turns out if you start knitting a cone pattern on the surface of the finished heart (from the central row, hooking a new thread) (right on top of the heart fabric).

Second flower (spiral rose) - knitted after we have a knitted 2-row heart on our hands (as in the pattern above) ... and then, when we have reached the end, we do not break the thread but continue knitting ... and knit the THIRD ROW - (this will be the edge row of the heart -roses). This row produces curved BOARDS.

The sides are obtained due to the fact that in the third row we DO NOT ADD the number of stitches - but we knit them the same number as there were in the second row. And our knitting from flat turns into BOWL-shaped (like a heart-shaped cup).

And when our third side row comes to an end, WE START THE SPIRAL. Namely, after the third row has approached the hollow of the heart, we turn the progress of our knitting DEPTH into the heart (and continue to knit, picking up the middle knitting columns with a twist (the columns of the second and first row... turning the knitting in a circle and so bringing it to the middle (in a spiral) ).

HOW TO MAKE A CARPET using the flat heart technique.

Having mastered the technique of knitting flat hearts, can be linked fluffy CARPET in the shape of a heart. As a knitting material for such a carpet regular threads won't work.

Here we need EITHER thick polyester cord for knitting (search on Google, many stores sell it)…

OR you can make the same thick thread yourself– if you buy it in a store regular stretch knit... and use scissors to cut a long thread from it. Just cut with a zigzag snake - first we cut a strip of fabric along the edge, and when we reach the corner, we turn back and cut again... we reach the corner again, smoothly turn and cut again... You will get an endless thick knitted cord-strip. Our grandmothers also knitted rugs from it (they also cut rags). If you look closely at the photo, you will see that here the threads for the heart carpet are made from a cut-up snake of a knitted rag.

As I already said, it’s better to buy one elastic knitted fabric with a slight shimmer– a shiny coating applied to the fabric glues the loops of the knitted fabric together, and therefore the cut strip does NOT fringe along the edges, but maintains a neat, even cut. And the carpet from such iridescent knitwear turns out to be glamorous and stylish.

A heart-shaped rug is very easy to knit. First we knit a regular flat heart (as in the pattern above). And then, when the heart-carpet is ready, we will make a relief on it (protruding ribs).

So that such CORRIFIED steps appear on the carpet. It is necessary after the carpet is already knitted (still without steps, just flat), take the thread again... picking it up with a hook in ANY middle row of a knitted carpet... start knitting regular single crochets - we knit along the entire row - another SURFACE ROW.

Yes, yes, knit ON OVER the rug along the selected row(as we just knitted a spiral rose over the heart in the paragraph above) - but here we knit not in a spiral, but IN A CIRCLE, repeating the shape of the heart as we knit. Thus we get one edge-step. And then repeat the same thing in some middle row of our rug.

Here in the photo below... you can see how, after knitting the finished red heart, a white pattern was knitted on its SURFACE (simply picking up a white thread with a hook (in any row) and pulling it into a loop... Here is a similar process on our carpet... only there we We not only stretch the picked up thread, but also knit a stitch together with it (with or without crochet).

Volumetric crochet heart

– MASTER CLASS for beginners.

These are so beautiful plump hearts Can be knitted even by a novice craftsman. It looks like a complicated job, but if you hold them in your hand, you immediately understand how it’s done. Here I am posting Master Class, where all stages of knitting are clearly visible and understandable.

We knit cups and caps (we just knit in circles, but since we add few stitches in each circle, our circle itself wraps itself in a cup). In the first cap we cut the thread... and when the second cap is already knitted, then we leave the thread... we bring the caps closer to each other with their barrels and begin their COMMON TYING in a circle - in a COMMON CIRCLE around their barrels (without touching the membrane wall).

Gradually we begin to DECREASE THE COLUMN in this circular row - so that our heart narrows downwards. When there is already a small hole left at the bottom, fill the valentine with cotton wool and finish knitting.

Hearts knitted in this master class may not be monochromatic, and striped...And they can be made longer. In order for them to lengthen, you just need to reduce the columns in a circular row not so often... That is, do decreasing the columns not in each row - but every other row.

Volumetric crochet heart,

knitted with PRIVATE knitting.

But here is the principle of creating a crocheted heart, which is NOT crocheted IN A CIRCLE... but row by row - left, right. Two flat layers are knitted, and then folded together and crocheted.

STITCHING OF THE TWO HALVES occurs with a regular crochet stitch. Thread under knitting, hook above knitting. We lower the hook from bottom to top THROUGH the knitting - pick up the thread and pull it to the top of the knitting a little bit so that the head of the hook and the loop on it peek out. We crochet again - down through the knitting (this time in a different place, through the post) - we pick up the thread, come up with a hook with a new loop and pull it into the one already on the hook... And we repeat the same thing - we dive down with the hook through the post - grab the thread and pull it from the bottom to the top and pull it into the loop on the hook.

Or you can combine the principle of TRIANGULAR STRAIGHT knitting - and then tie SEMI-CIRCULAR EARS to the triangle (as in the photo below).

Crochet heart

In an L-shaped way.

This means our knitting looks like the letter G, which we constantly knit in a circle, making the letter G thicker and thicker - until it looks like a heart. Here in the diagram below I have 2 stages of the scheme - beginning and continuation. So that you understand where knitting begins... and how to continue it.

And also after learning how to crochet a FLAT heart you can crochet Here's a Valentine's box. In order for a knitted flat heart to form BOARDS (box walls), you need... having finished the flat upper box part (without breaking the threads), continue knitting in the circle (around the heart) BUT WITHOUT ADDING STICKS IN THE NEXT CIRCULAR ROWS... and then our knitting will begin to bend and wrap the sides …. Choose the height of the sides yourself... in the photo these are 3-4 rows of columns (each row has the same number of columns - equal to the number of columns along the edge of the upper surface of the heart).

And by the way - in the photo it is knitted in an L-SHAPED way - but in fact it doesn’t matter at all how you knit the surface of the lid. That is, you can choose ANY method of crocheting a heart (in the photo below we see a regular heart pattern in the form of even rows). The main thing you need to do is TIE THE BOARDS (the walls of the box).

Also, using the same technique (in the shape of the letter G), you can knit an LACERY holey valentine heart with a red ribbon stretched into it.

In the diagram below you can see that this pattern is almost the same as the top one, only here in each row we don’t just sculpt the columns close to each other... but we make gaps in the form of two air loops And then to such a heart you can add a LACE TRIM along the edge of the finished heart shape. And stretch the ribbon along the edge.

Hearts using the FRAME KNITTING technique.

And here is the idea of crocheted HEARTS-FRAMES. First we knit regular LARGE RING made of air loops- and then we tie this ring with single crochets. We make the binding in such a way that there is a HOLLOW in the top center... and in the bottom center there is a POINTED TIPS of the heart.
hollow This is done by the fact that in this place we knit not an ordinary stitch, but a connecting stitch - we simply pry it up and pull the thread into the loop, without pulling out the stitch.

Pointed tip it turns out due to the fact that in this place we knit THREE COLUMN into one air loop.

If the heart-frame consists of SEVERAL rows, then for all these rows THE GENERAL RULE applies – in the hollow we do LOWERING THE COLUMN(that is, instead of a single-cap post, we make a single-cap post... or instead of a regular single-cap post, we make a tiny connecting post).

= at the bottom for a pointed tip In EACH row we knit 3 stitches in one hole, instead of one.

You can also put a wire inside such a heart-frame. And make a rigid frame for a photo or for a bird.

The wire will be inserted into the knitting immediately at the FIRST STAGE OF WORK.

That is, we immediately We start our knitting NOT FROM AIR... but straight from the columns... we begin to knit these columns by hooking a hook under the wire. Just like we always hooked a hook under a ring of air loops - only now there is no need for a ring of air loops - instead there is a ring of wire. It’s okay if the wire gets creased by hand during knitting - you’ll straighten everything out later.

Using this principle, you can knit any lace patterns - on a wire bent in the shape of a heart... or in the shape of lace.

Crochet Valentines

using the SQUARE + EARS technique.

And here is the principle of crocheting a Valentine when we first knit regular square with any pattern(even just in columns as in the photo below) ... and then to this square on both sides we tie the semicircular ears.

The square pattern and ear pattern can be any... with tight or holey openwork knitting.

After we have knitted first a SQUARE, then one ear, and then the second ear-semicircle... we can TIE the entire heart along its EDGE... the binding along the edge can be in the form of simple columns... or in the form of openwork lace (as in the photo below) .

But here is an option when a garland is knitted from such hearts - it can be hung above the fireplace or along a bookshelf... or along the upper edge of a doorway.

Patterns for knitting such hearts can be very different. Here are the diagrams of SQUARES and ears for it. As you can see, the pattern patterns can be completely different. But the principle is the same - first we knit a square (according to any pattern) ... and then we attach semicircle ears to it - also according to any pattern of a round napkin ... or one invented from our head.

Crocheted Valentine card

using the THREE CIRCLES + BINDING technique

And here is another simple way - when THREE CIRCLES are knitted... then they are interlocked together. And they are tied around - in the shape of a heart.

Instead of three circles, you can knit three flowers.

You can also compose it YOURSELF your own author's heart from many crocheted flowers or circles of different sizes. Here's how to do it. First, draw a large heart shape on a piece of paper - THIS WILL BE A TEMPLATE.

Then collect all sorts of round objects around the house that can serve as a STENCIL (shot glasses, round cream lids, jars with round bottoms, etc.). now we We outline these glasses and caps with a pencil inside our drawn heart. Our task is to dot the whole heart with such stencil circles - from small to large.

And then you need to take threads of two or three colors similar in shades (pink, red and white - for example). And tie flowers of different colors– we knit a flower with any circular pattern (taken from the patterns of any napkins or snowflakes) – we knit until our round piece becomes equal in size to one of the circles we drew.

Once the knitted circle matched in size with one of the circles drawn on the template - we take tape and stick it on our drawing - in the circle where it should be (I recommend sticking tape on the template so that you do not get confused which circles are already connected and which are not yet).

Valentine napkins

using the LOIN knitting technique.

Filet knitting is knitting in a straight line (from right to left) - we knit CELL BY CELL... Cells alternate... empty... or filled with columns. And thanks to this, a drawing is created.
It’s VERY SIMPLE here... either an empty cell (three air cells) or filled with columns (three columns).

And the patterns for such fillet knitting look EXACTLY the SAME as the patterns for cross stitch. Any two-color cross stitch pattern is suitable as a pattern for fillet crochet.

With a heart-shaped pattern using the fillet technique, you can knit a BORDER for a tablecloth or for a towel and give it to a friend. You can use the fillet crochet technique to create just such a CURTAIN for a kitchen window in the country.

You can decorate a heart-shaped pillow made of fabric with fillet knitting. And from it make a beautiful gift composition in a frame, with roses and a butterfly.

Valentines cards knitted using the FIG. knitting technique.

And the LOBE of the heart (right lobe and left) can be connected using the PEACOCK FEATHER pattern technique. That is, among the crochet patterns there is such a fashionable knitting pattern as a PEACOCK FEATHER (or a drop)... And if you take two such elements and put them together, we get a valentine heart.

Knitting starts from the tip of the heart... diverges into a triangle to the sides. And then the triangle is divided into two ear lobes. Each eyelet is knitted separately... first one, break the thread... then the other.

You can take it as a basis for the pattern diagram of only the TOP of the peacock feather pattern.

You can make crochet valentines in a technique called ZAVITO K. This is when our knitting turns a corner... and then comes back...

If you knit 4 hearts (or more) using the CURL technique, you can fold them into a napkin.

You can also hang lace hearts on windows. And even complement them with pendants.

Crochet heart with an ASSYMETRICAL pattern pattern.

And here is a beautiful design technique for creating openwork crochet valentines. Where the pattern has an asymmetrical shape. Here the knitting direction is the most unpredictable.

Your knitting the canvas is folded the bagel itself while you knit row by row. And then you leave this half-bundle... you break the thread from the top of the folded fabric. AND start knitting from the lower end of the same fabric.. And this time too the progress of your new knitting bends into a tight curl. And then, when the curl is ready, it is sewn with its upper side to the TOP edge of our first half-bubble.

And here is another valentine pattern, also with an asymmetrical crocheted heart. Here, too, the knitting goes along the curl... It twists itself, and then flowers or jumper posts are knitted in the middle, which connect the two sides of our folded knitted ribbon.

Like these ones crochet heart ideas I collected in this article. I would be glad if you found an idea for your crochet valentine here.
Happy knitting.

Olga Klishevskaya, especially for the site

Crocheting napkins is an activity that can captivate both beginners and experienced needlewomen. The article presents various patterns for knitting napkins with a detailed description of the work.

Crochet napkins

Crocheted napkins are an extraordinary beauty, the embodiment of lightness and tenderness. The craftswomen who create these magical woven snowflakes don’t just knit napkins, but give those around them a real fairy tale.

To learn how to knit napkins, in addition to a hook and a ball of yarn, you will need patience and attention. It is important that the needlewoman can correctly read the diagram and convey the pattern in her work.

IMPORTANT: You can knit a small napkin with a light pattern in a few hours, but creating a masterpiece with a complex pattern will take much more time.

For beginning needlewomen, it is better to first knit small-sized napkins with simple, uncomplicated patterns. When your hands get used to the new work, and the loops and posts become slender and even, you can move on to performing more complex elements.

In descriptions and explanations of diagrams, the following generally accepted abbreviations are often used:

  • VP- air loop
  • PS- half-column
  • WITH- column
  • RLS- single crochet
  • S1H- double crochet
  • S2H- double crochet stitch.

How to choose threads and crochet a simple napkin for beginners: diagram with description

Experienced craftswomen choose spider-thin yarn for their work. Deftly using crochet, they knit napkins of extraordinary beauty that look more like lace. However, those who are just learning to knit should not start with thin threads.

  • To prevent the thread from getting tangled, choose medium thickness yarn. Wool blend and acrylic Perfect for first jobs.
  • Thread color choose depending on the interior in which the finished napkin will be used.
  • Hook size usually corresponds to the thickness of the thread. But if you need the knitting to look tight, take a thinner hook; if you want to get a large knitting product, choose a thick hook. To begin with, it is better to take a hook number 1.5. If they find it inconvenient to work with, it can always be replaced with a thicker or thinner one.
  • For the first napkin, choose one of the simplest patterns- It’s better to finish a simple job than to quit a difficult one.

IMPORTANT: If you need to knit a thin openwork napkin, use bobbin cotton threads and a hook No. 0.5 - 1. For napkins of medium thickness, you need “Iris” threads and a hook No. 1.5.

Tutorial for crocheting a simple napkin:

Prepare a hook and thread, study the knitting pattern.

Since the napkin is round, start knitting from the center. Knit a 12-loop chain.

Tie the ring according to the diagram.

Connect the last loop with the chain chain loop, thus completing the circle.

Go to second row. Knit 3 chain stitches, 4 double crochets into the stitches of the previous row.

Repeat the pattern.

Do not connect the last loop of the row with the first; if you connect them, the pattern will be broken.

In the third row, according to the diagram, alternate 4 chain stitches with 6 stitches + 2 double crochets. Knit the 4 middle columns so that the hook enters the base of the columns from the knitted row, knit the first and last so that the hook goes under the chain of chain loops of the knitted row.

Complete the 3rd row, like the previous one, proceed to knitting the 4th row.

In the fourth row alternate 5 chain stitches with 8 stitches + 2 double crochets.

Fifth- alternate 9 chain stitches with 10 stitches + 2 double crochets.

In the sixth- alternate 11 chain stitches with 4 stitches + 2 yarn overs, 11 chain stitches, skip 2 stitches of the previous row, 4 stitches + 2 yarn overs. At the end of the row, connect the last loop to the first.

In the seventh row knit 5 chain stitches, 15 stitches + 2 double crochets. Insert the hook under the chain stitches of the previous row. Then 5 air loops, a column under the air loops of the previous row.

At the end of the row, knit 6 chain stitches and connect the last loop to the first.

Knitting a napkin, connecting the loops at the end of the 7th row

In the eighth row knit 6 chain stitches, double crochet + 2 yarn overs, small picot of 4 chain stitches.

At the end of the work, fasten from the wrong side and carefully cut the thread. The work is finished, the napkin is ready!

How to crochet a beautiful white openwork napkin: diagram with description

Openwork napkins look great both on serving and coffee tables. They can be placed under candy dishes, cups, plates or fruit vases.

To make the napkins look light and delicate, take thin cotton threads and a thin hook (0.5 -1.2).

IMPORTANT: It is advisable for experienced needlewomen to use bobbin threads, but beginning craftswomen should take into account that working with them is very difficult and time-consuming.

Description:

Knitting the middle part:

  • Cast on 10 air loops and connect them into a ring.
  • 1 row: Knit 3 chain stitches (this will be a rise), 21 stitches + 2 double crochets.
  • 2nd row: Tie 6 chain stitches, 1 stitch + 1 yarn over into the 2nd stitch of the previous row, 3 chain stitches.
  • 3rd row: 5 air loops, 1 stitch + 1 yarn over (thread for the chain of the 1st row), 2 air loops, 1 stitch + 1 yarn over in the stitch of the 1st row, 2 air loops.
  • 4 row: Knit 6 chain stitches, 1 single crochet stitch and 4 chain stitches.
  • 5 row: Using connecting stitches, move the thread under 1 arch, knit 7 chain loops, 1 single crochet, 5 chain loops.
  • 6th row: Start knitting again from the middle of the arch, knit 8 chain loops, 1 single crochet, 6 chain loops.
  • 7th row: Move to the center of the arch, to do this, knit 9 chain loops, 1 single crochet, 7 chain loops.
  • 8th row: Start from the middle of the arch. Work 3 chain stitches, 4 stitches + 1 yarn over, 3 chain stitches, 1 stitch + 1 yarn over into the next arch. Next: 3 chain stitches, 9 stitches + 1 yarn over. At the end you should get 4 stitches + 1 yarn over.
  • WITH Rows 9 to 16: the pattern is similar to row 8, but carefully monitor the change in the number of columns in each row.
  • Row 17: Pull the connecting thread to the last column. Knit 3 chain stitches, 4 stitches + 1 yarn over, 10 chain stitches, 5 stitches + 1 yarn over, 10 chain stitches.
  • 18 row: Turn the napkin and knit in the reverse order: 3 chain stitches, 15 stitches + 1 double crochet under the arch, 1 single crochet in the stitch that is in the middle of the previous row, 16 stitches + 1 double crochet.

Every flower knit separately:

  • Connect 8 air loops with a ring.
  • 1st row: 3 chain stitches, 14 stitches + 1 yarn over.
  • 2nd row: 12 chain stitches, 1 single crochet in the 6th stitch of the previous row, 10 chain loops, 1 single crochet in the 11th stitch of the previous row, 10 chain loops.
  • 3rd row: Knit the petals by turning the product over. 2 chain stitches, 1 single crochet under the first arch, 1 single crochet, 13 double crochets + 1 crochet, 1 single crochet under the 2nd and 3rd arches.

Knitting borders- the final stage in the work. The border consists of 7 rows:

  • 1st row: 2 chain stitches, 9 single crochet stitches, 8 chain stitches, 10 single crochet stitches in 2 flower stitches. Then do the same over each flower.
  • 2nd row: 5 chain loops, 1 stitch + 1 yarn over in 3 stitches above the petal, 2 chain stitches, 1 stitch + 1 yarn over in the next 3 stitch, 2 chain loops, 1 stitch + 1 yarn over in the last stitch above the first flower, 8 chain loops. Continue on each flower as well.
  • 3rd row: 3 chain stitches, 7 chain stitches + 1 yarn over, 2 chain stitches, 8 chain stitches + 1 yarn over, 2 chain stitches.
  • 4th row: completely repeats the 3rd row, however, if the knitting begins to “pull”, you can add air loops yourself (it will be enough to add 1 loop each).
  • 5 row: 3 chain stitches, 7 chain stitches + 1 yarn over, 10 chain stitches, 8 chain stitches + 1 yarn over, 10 chain stitches.
  • 6th row: turn the knitting, knit: 3 chain loops, 15 stitches + 1 crochet in the arch of the previous row, 1 single crochet between the stitches of the previous row, 16 stitches + 1 crochet in the next arch, 1 single crochet.
  • 7th row: the entire row is tying the resulting elements with single crochets.

Finish the work by securing the thread and removing the remainder.

Beautiful crocheted heart shaped napkin- a great gift for a loved one for Valentine's Day. Several identical small heart napkins can be used to create a romantic setting or for table settings.

Crocheting a heart napkin is not difficult. It is enough to carefully study the diagram, choose the right yarn and hook and follow the recommendations from the description in your work.

To knit a heart, use a thin cotton thread and a No. 1 hook. Finished product size: 15 x 20 cm.

Description of the circuit:

  • Dial 10 VP, connect with a ring.
  • Collect another 50 VP.
  • Connect the last 50th loop with the 10th from the end so that you get a ring.
  • 1 row: 3VP (needed for lifting), 19С1Н (tie the ring with them), 3С1Н tie on three loops of the chain and three air loops that were knitted for lifting. Next, knit C1H from each stitch of the entire chain. In the center of the chain, knit 3C1H on two loops. This will form a corner of the heart. Tie the rings at the end of the chain with C1H, connect the PS with 3 loops of the chain.
  • 2nd row: 3VP connect the PS with three columns of the previous row, turn the napkin. Further according to the scheme: C1H in every second loop of the previous row above the rounding, above the straight element - in every third. Knit 2 chain stitches between the stitches. When you reach the corner of the heart, tie the arch 6 VP. Finish the row by connecting the last stitch with the 3rd loop of the chain.
  • 3rd row: Connect 3VP with 3 columns of the previous row using PS. Turn the napkin and then knit according to the pattern C1H, one above each column of the previous row and 2C1H in the arches above the straight section. In the arches above the curves, knit 3C1H. In the corner of the heart - 12C1H. Connect the last column at the end of the row using a PS with 3 loops of the chain.
  • 4 row: complete repetition of row No. 2.
  • 5 row: repeat row No. 3, only knit 2C1H over the arches and curves, and 10C1H in the corner.
  • 6 row: C1H, 1VP, pico, 1VP. Connect the rings when tying the second one: 1 VP, 1 RLS, 1 VP.

The result should be a heart like this:

You can connect 2 of these napkins together. You will get a cute composition:

This is one of the easiest options for knitting a heart-shaped napkin, which even a beginner can knit on his own. Experienced craftswomen can choose more complex patterns.

Repeat only 4 times. Finish the row, as before, with a connecting column.
  • Next, continue working according to the diagram of the main motif, ending the rows with connecting posts.
  • Connect the finished elements together, starch the finished product and leave to dry.

IMPORTANT: To get a napkin from rectangular motifs, knit not 16, but 20, 24, 28 or more repeating elements and connect them together in a certain order.

Filet knitting or fillet knitting(loin lace) is the creation of a grid, some cells of which remain empty, and some are filled. The drawing is created in a certain way, depending on how the grid cells are filled.

Fillet knitting is very simple, and the patterns are easy to read and resemble cross stitch patterns. The elements of fillet knitting patterns, as well as patterns for cross stitch, are black and white checkers, circles and crosses. Moreover, an empty cell in the diagram is always indicated by a white cell, and a filled cell can be indicated by a black cell, a cross, or a circle.

IMPORTANT: Before you start knitting a fillet napkin according to the chosen pattern, knit a small sample of 10 by 10 squares, from which you can evaluate the type and density of future work.

Knitting cells is done as follows:

  • Empty – S1N, 2VP
  • Filled - 3С1Н.

Any fillet knitting begins with a chain of VP.

Calculation of loops for casting:

For 1 cell – 3VP chains + 6 loops to form 1 cell of 1 row. In order not to carry out calculations, you can knit a chain of arbitrary length and start knitting cells from the beginning. Then the extra loops of the chain can be unraveled, and the missing ones can be tied up.

Video: Sirloin mesh. Adding and subtracting cells. Crochet.

IMPORTANT: The place from which work begins (starting point) is marked with an arrow on the diagrams.

Sometimes work on a fillet napkin starts from the bottom or the top. Often work begins precisely from the center, and from there it moves down and up. When you have to knit a voluminous loin, you can knit individual parts and elements, and then knit them together.

IMPORTANT: In order for a napkin knitted with fillet knit to be neat and dense, the loops must not be “loose” or stretched, otherwise the work will be uneven and the pattern will be blurry.

Knowing the decoding of the circuit (empty - С1Н, 2ВП; filled - 3С1Н), you can immediately start working.

The “Lady” napkin, one of the most unusual and original, which will undoubtedly arouse admiration among friends and acquaintances, is actually very easy and quick to knit. “Ladies” can be of any colors, sizes and shapes, but each of them can decorate a home and lift your spirits.

Original napkin "Lady"

Detailed description of work on one of the "Ladies":

  • Start with the cap. For convenience, turn the diagram upside down.
  • Cast on 13VP, knit 3 rows in stitches, knit VP1N between them.
  • After tying the hat, break the thread.
  • Knit the upper part of the body with double crochets.
  • Separately tie your arms and torso.
  • Attach your hands to the skirt on the 11th row.

How to crochet a voluminous napkin: description, diagram

Elegant, light, voluminous two-color napkins not only look impressive, but are also very easy to knit. The “trick” of such napkins is their two-color nature. Similar plain napkins can get “lost” in the interior, and certainly won’t attract as much attention.

To work, you will need thin cotton yarn and a No. 1 hook.

The “base” of the napkin is knitted according to an easy pattern using single crochet stitches and a VP between them.

It makes no sense to describe this process in detail.

But knitting butterflies is very similar to knitting flowers.

This pattern will have to be changed a little, otherwise the butterflies will turn out very large. Therefore, future butterflies will be knitted in single crochet stitches.

  • Make a ring from 6VP.
  • 1 row: 8 groups of 3C1H and 3VP between them.
  • 2nd row: Turn the knitting and knit: in the arches of the previous row 2 times, 5C1H and 5VP between them.
  • 3rd row: 1СБН between two groups of columns of the previous row.
  • Tie the arches: 7С1Н, 2ВП, 7С1Н.
  • 4 row: RLS.

The result will be a flower with uneven, curled petals. But by bending it in half, you will get a beautiful voluminous butterfly in flight.

Place the butterflies on a napkin, securing them with a thread and a needle, and enjoy the beauty and tenderness of your own creation.

A large crocheted napkin can decorate a table in a living room, hall, nursery or kitchen. This original and beautiful product can give comfort and warmth to your home. Of course, it is difficult to decide on such a large job, but its result will certainly please the craftswoman and justify the effort and money spent.

To knit a white napkin - a tablecloth with a diameter of 180 cm you will need:

  • hook No. 2.5
  • cotton yarn type Cotton Troy (280m in 50 g), 1100 g

Mandala napkin knitted from yarn of bright rich colors, will be an excellent interior decoration in ethno style. The mandala, in accordance with Hindu and Buddhist teachings, symbolizes the habitat of deities. By decorating their home with mandalas, the owners hope to attract divine grace, good luck and happiness into their home.

IMPORTANT: A mandala can only be round in shape, because even in translation this word means “disc”. The colored circles of the mandala represent the Universe and the home of divine beings, and the square represents the four cardinal directions.

How to crochet a colored napkin

The craftswomen note that work on these magical napkins progresses very quickly and with pleasure, and after knitting their mood improves. Most likely, this is due to the frequent change of bright colors. But what if the Hindu deities themselves help the needlewomen? Be that as it may, if your plans include making a colored napkin, it is best to start with knitting a mandala.

Not all needlewomen can crochet a two-color napkin with intricate patterns using a complex pattern. Beginners often give up knitting when they realize that they made a mistake somewhere and the pattern didn’t work out. To avoid disappointment and complete the job, you need to start by knitting light napkins.

Even an inexperienced craftswoman can knit such a rectangular two-color napkin with diagonal lines.

The work scheme is very easy and does not require special concentration and attention.

It turns out dense two-color napkin, size 25 by 35 cm, tied Tunisian knitting.

To make it you will need:

  • white yarn “Snowflake” – 50 g
  • colored yarn “Iris” – 10 g
  • hooks No. 2.5 (Tunisian) and 3 (regular)

Description of work:

  • A regular hook number 3 is only useful for casting on a chain of 50 loops.
  • The rest of the work should be done with a Tunisian hook No. 2.5. Use it to knit 100 rows in Tunisian stitch according to the pattern.
  • Use a chain stitch to trim the colored diagonal finish of the napkin.
  • Tie a napkin with colored thread.
  • When working on white binding, end each row with a connecting post.

Crochet napkin hot tray so simple that just looking at this product is enough to reproduce it exactly. It will take very little time to make such a napkin, but with its brightness and originality it will decorate any kitchen.

When knitting napkins for hot occasions, you can give free rein to your imagination by changing and adding colors and elements. But several rules must be followed:

  • The napkin should not have convex parts or parts, that is, it should be absolutely smooth and ensure stability of the dishes. Otherwise, using it may result in injury.
  • Threads for knitting should be thick enough, and the finished product should not have holes, mesh or looseness in the pattern.

It turns out that prosperity, wealth, money and even large profits can be crocheted. To do this, just knit a small napkin (from 21 to 40 cm in diameter) and put it in the most visible place in the house with the words:

For a money napkin to “work” it must be tied according to the following rules:

  • A money napkin cannot have any other shape than a circle.
  • In the center of the circle you need to insert or tie a gold coin.
  • Rays should emanate from the center of the napkin.
  • There can be 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 or any other odd number of rays.

IMPORTANT: You can take any scheme that meets the requirements as a basis. A distinctive feature of the napkin will be a small pocket in the center with a coin sewn into it.

Good afternoon, dear needlewomen and all friends of the blog!

I crocheted an openwork heart a long time ago, but again I want to tell those who have not seen this master class how to crochet a heart.

A series of holidays is coming: Valentine's Day, followed by February 23rd along with Maslenitsa week. So you will need to prepare different gifts and delicious dishes. This is what we'll do.

The Internet is full of different ideas for crocheted hearts. I liked the unusual pattern of an openwork heart and decided to turn the beauty I saw into reality.

I have prepared for you a master class on crocheting a heart with a diagram, description and photographs, as well as a video that will help make the diagram easier to read.

How to crochet an openwork heart

Before we learn how to crochet a heart, let's decide what yarn and hook to use. Of course, thin cotton would be better; mine is pink iris. In this case, take hook No. 1.

The finished knitted heart measures 15 x 19 cm. This is a small napkin in the shape of a heart. It can also be used as an applique for pillows and other uses.

Crochet heart. Master Class

The heart diagram is in front of you.

We start knitting a heart by casting on a chain of 10 VPs, close it into a ring, connecting the 1st and last loops with a half-column, and continue to cast on another 50 VPs.

We connect the last loop with the 10th from the end of the chain with a half-column into a ring.

1st row: 3 ch for lifting, tie the ring with 19 double crochets.

We knit the next 3 C1H on 3 loops of the chain, grabbing 3 VPs connected at the beginning of the row for lifting.

Then we knit double crochets from each loop of the long chain.
In the middle of the chain we knit 3 C1H on two loops to make a corner of the heart.

At the end of the row, we tie the ring with single crochet stitches and connect it with a half-cable stitch to the 3rd loop of the chain.

2nd row: 3VP, connecting them with a half-column with three columns of the previous row, turn the knitting.

double crochet in every second loop of the previous row above the round part, and above the straight part - in every third loop; between the columns we knit 2 VPs.

In the corner of the heart we knit an arch from 6VP.

: 3VP, connecting them with a half-column with three columns of the previous row, turn the knitting.

one double crochet over each double crochet in the previous row and two double crochets in each arch above the straight part, and three double crochets in the arches above the round part.

In the corner of the heart there are 12 double crochets.

At the end of the row, we connect the last column with the 3rd loop of the chain with a half-column.

Like 2nd.

Like the 3rd, only above all the arches, and in the round part, we knit two double crochets, in the corner - 10 double crochets.

6th row: *double crochet, 1VP, picot, 1VP.

We used this technique when knitting Japanese.

When tying the second ring at the end of the row, connect it to another ring: 1VP in the middle of the picot, 1SC, crocheting another picot, 1VP.

This is such a beautiful openwork crocheted heart.
